This means that whilst acquiring the armour is not proof of being the Immortal King's heir, it gives a warrior the knowledge and respect Worusk earned. If I didn't know any better, based on the title 'Immortal', and how there is reference to a 'final battle' and 'soul cage', I'd say that Worusk is called the Immortal king because his soul is bound to his armour and weapons.
